Restaurants -

Marius - One of the best churrascarias in Rio, steak grilled to perfection, a unique experience. It also serves seafood. You can find it a short walk down towards the rock formation, Avenida Atlântica 290.

Carretão - Best value churrascaria, very good quality for reasonable prices. Rua Ronald de Carvalho 55, just off Avenida Atlântica (3 blocks south of the apartment). 

D'Amici - Italian restaurant, with an excellent wine card. Behind the apartment building (Rua Antonio Vieira 18).
 

The cafe and restaurant next to the apartment building features live music on Saturdays (until 10 pm). From the window, you can watch people dance on the street.
 

Cash - Standard ATM debit cards work with international banks only. An ATM close to the apartment is located at HSBC on Avenida Princesa Isabel 186. 
 

Groceries - There is a Zona Sul supermarket on the same block to the right with a very good selection (see picture above - it's larger inside than you would guess).
